Yellow-flowering perennial that will bright up a shady location at the end of summer (not just with the blooms, but with the colorful pollinators that come to visit). Many insects and birds depend on bluestem goldenrod for its nectar, pollen, leaves, stems, or seeds. This includes short-tongued bees, wasps, flies, beetles, leafhoppers, moths, butterflies, grasshoppers, and songbirds, like the eastern goldfinch.

Note: Plant plugs are baby plants. Plug plants have a soil root base of roughly 5" deep x 2" square with varying above ground growth -- a plug is the best size to plant with habitat gardening.
